First Touch guide

This guide goes deeper than the in-game help tab. Read it once and you will know exactly what drives your player's development.

The goal of the game

You control one footballer, not a team. The goal is to climb from Division 6 to Division 1, get picked for the national team and collect as many trophies as possible.

One round equals one real week. Your player ages one year per season, and young players develop far faster than veterans.

Your week

  • Every day: make the daily decisions and save your personal training focus.
  • Weekdays: club training based on the coach's philosophy and your position.
  • Saturday: league match. Thursday: national team match. Cup matches are played in the evening.
  • Sunday: scouts look at players listed as available.

Training — how points are earned

Training has three parts: the club session, your personal focus session and the daily decisions. All three add points directly to your attributes.

If you do not log in and save your focus, you get no training that day. It is the single most important habit in the game.

  • Club sessions follow the coach's philosophy and your position.
  • Your personal session works every day — match days included.
  • Daily decisions roll an outcome from poor to exceptional (roughly 0.4x–2.5x points).
  • The higher the division, the faster you develop.

Matches and selection

The coach picks a 4-4-2 by position rating. Your rating is calculated from your attributes with different weights — a goalkeeper needs saves, a striker needs shooting and pace.

Matches are simulated minute by minute with full stats: touches, key passes, tackles, shots, goals and assists.

Club, finances and staff

  • Club feeling grows the longer you stay and gives a bonus to every attribute.
  • Your first club becomes your home club and always shows in your profile.
  • Use your wage to hire staff that improves parts of your training.

Transfers and the national team

  • List yourself as available to get scouted on Sundays.
  • You can also apply to one club per day, including abroad.
  • Each nation picks 22 players; national matches give extra training.

Quick start

  • Pick a speciality that matches your dream position.
  • Put your three starting points into the heaviest attributes for that position.
  • Log in every day — consistency beats luck.
