Leagues & cups

Every country runs its own pyramid, from amateur Division 6 up to Division 1. Win the top flight and you are national champion. Everything above that is played on the world stage.

The pyramid

Six divisions per country with promotion and relegation every season. One league match a week, three points for a win and one for a draw. The higher you play, the better the coaching — training runs measurably faster near the top, which is exactly why you want to get there.

Countries

  • Sweden
  • England
  • Spain
  • Italy
  • Germany
  • France
  • Netherlands
  • Portugal
  • USA
  • China

You pick your nationality when you create your player, and your first club must be in that country. Later in your career transfers work internationally.

The national cup

Cup nights are Wednesdays and run all 26 weeks of the season. Every club in the country starts in a group of four; the winner goes into the A bracket, second into B, third into C, fourth drops to the consolation rounds. The further you go, the more your cup matches are worth as training — and the final is played in the last week of the season. Knockout ties go to extra time and then penalties.

First Touch Cup

The best clubs from every country's top division qualify for the First Touch Cup, where the best team in the world is crowned each season. These matches carry the highest training value in the game.

World Cup

Every year each nation calls up its 22 best players — three goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and six forwards. Make the squad and you can win the biggest title there is.
